Elephant Plains - The hide among the trees on the right has been known to house a leopard, so you will appreciate why Anton Wessels, one of the guides, inspects very carefully whether it is safe or not.

There is a morning and late afternoon game drive. Each one is quite special. If you are lucky you will see the leopard or the lions prepare for a hunt while you are on the night drive. Or your party will go after lions reportedly hunting and never reach these because on the way a leopard is spotted up a tree relishing an impala while the spotted hyenas circle below the tree, waiting until the carcas or part of it is dropped, and then bringing it into safety quickly.

Before you go to dinner in the boma (or within the premises of the lodge in the case of rain), there is always the sundowner out in the open field. An excellent opportunity to socialise and enjoy the beauty of the landscape.
