The Cape Peninsula - False Bay and Muizenberg
The coastal region of False Bay near Fish Hoek, with Muizenberg in the background. You can see why Bortholomey Dias referred to the bay as "the gulf between the mountains". At the opening to the Atlantic Ocean it is bounded by Cape Hangklip on the east and Cape Point on the west; these are about 32 km apart.
